A sneak peak of four Chaos Marauders before their dip. Let’s see if dip can salvage an admittedly slipshop paint job.
Chaos Marauder
A Games Workshop Chaos Marauder that was painted using my “speed painting” method, namely basecoating and dipping into wood varnish.
Space Ranger Sergeant
Another dipped em4 miniatures Space Ranger, this time the Sergeant.
Dipped Space Ranger
A Space Ranger originally by ICE, but now produced by em4 miniatures. This was one of my early “speed painting” attempts. Basically I sprayed the miniature with gray primer, painted the gun and a few other details charcoal, the visor off-white, and the base brown. I then dipped the miniature in Minwax polyshades varnish (“Pecan”). After the varnish had dried, I sprayed the mini with matte finish sealant and added the static grass. Didn’t take much work at all and the results aren’t half bad.
The first brick wall
Here you can see the first wall “bricked up” using the molds for A&K Modelling. It took me a little bit to get the hang of it, but on the whole I am surprisingly pleased.
HotT Dwarf color trial
This is a color trial for a Hordes of the Things (HotT) dwarf army I’m kicking about. It’s a plastic dwarf spearman from em4 miniatures. Up close it’s pretty ghastly.
